Project ROSE

Project ROSE provides community-based volunteer respite care and informal caregiver support services for caregivers.

  1. Funding for these services has been provided by a grant from the Minnesota Department of Human Services and is coordinated through the Region Nine Development Commission, Minnesota River Area Agency on Aging.

  2. VINE supports family caregivers by providing education and assistance to help keep their family member living at home.

  3. Staff facilitates a weekly sharing group while volunteers provide respite for the family member.

Caregiver Support

Caring for an elderly family member can be a rewarding experience. It can also become physically and emotionally exhausting.

Caregivers need to know that by taking time for themselves, they will be better able to provide long-term care for their loved one. But how can you leave without knowing your loved one is in good hands?

A caregiver support group is offered every second Wednesday of the month from 2:30 - 4:00. Respite will be available upon request. To receive more information about the caregiver support group call VINE at 387-1666 or email Mary.
